Adding service is a crucial part of any solution. It allows resellers to increase revenue, profit margin and customer satisfaction.
Motorola stopped selling Service PAKs more than a year ago. The activation portal has been open for another year for customers to activate all PAKs they purchased in 2012 or forgot to activate in previous years. Please note that the portal will be shut down by the end of February 2013.
Please activate all outstanding PAKs before the deadline so your contracts can still be set up and your units covered by such PAKs can be supported.

1. Launch of the Battery Refresh Option Service
=> This New Option is available for purchase with Service from the Start + Comprehensive Coverage.
This battery replacement option is available with a three or five year Service from the Start with Comprehensive Coverage agreement or a two-year Service from the Start renewal for eligible Motorola Solutions Mobile Computing Devices.
Batteries will be refreshed
- At eighteen months for a 3 year Service from the Start agreement, or
- At eighteen and thirty six months for a five year Service from the Start agreement, or
- Within twelve weeks of the contract start date for a 2 year renewal

2. New 1-year Service from the Start renewal SKUs for MCD products
=> Pay less for the same level of coverage !
Motorola Solutions new one-year Service from the Start renewal SKUs provide an additional option to the current two-year renewal SKU while allowing customers to keep the same level of coverage throughout the hardware’s life.
And this is how it works:
SSB 3yr => SSB 2yr renewal => SSB 1yr renewal => SSB 1yr renewal

3. Service for Demo Equipment
Now available: Service from the Start-Bronze with Comprehensive Coverage Demo Equipment Service.
This new service has the same deliverables as Service from the Start with Comprehensive and will be available on eContracts at a highly discounted price.
Product types covered are the ES400, MC55XX, MC65XX, MC70XX, MC75XX, MC95XX and ET1 demo equipment
Available for a 12 month term, this service can be acquired along with hardware purchased through the PartnerEmpower EMEA Demo & Development Equipment Purchase Program – or up to 30 days thereafter.
Limitations: The service for demo equipment cannot be extended or transferred. It automatically expires after 12 months and when the demo equipment is sold, the new owner must take out an SCB contract if service is required.
